Yiwu-Lauenburg Cooperative Agreements

  Recently, Yiwu signed several strategic agreements with Lauenburg, Germany, on industry funds, industrial project, logistics, medical treatment services, and culture at Yourworld International Conference Center. This means that strategic cooperation between China and Germany has embarked on a new journey. Municipal leaders of Yiwu Sheng Qiuping, Lin Yi, Wang Ying, Mao Xianghong, and the mayor of Lauenburg, Harald Heuer, and other officials attended the signing ceremony.

  Yiwu and Germany have had a close connection in economy and trade for many years. In 2016, Yiwu has had more than 1,000 merchants come from Germany and 359 million USD of total import and export trade value with Germany in the first three quarters. The import value is 14.3 million USD, which is an annual growth of 158.31%.

       At the signing ceremony, the Management Committee of Yiwu Clusters for Commercial and Trade Service signed a cooperative agreement with PostElbe, a German company that focuses on logistical services from Europe to China. In addition, the Management Committee of Yiwu Economic and Technological Development Zone signed agreements on raising mergers and acquisition funds and on the Yeast Project. In addition, the management committee engaged the general manager of PostElbe, Zheng Xinglong, as its special investment adviser and gave him an appointment letter.
