Post Time:01/06/2017 Browse Number:

On May 16, a promotional meeting regarding travel in Egypt was held in Yiwu. Over 100 people attended the meeting, including Mohamed Nosser, deputy secretary-general of the Egyptian parliament, and representatives from other relevant Yiwu departments, travel companies, and media.

Mohamed Nosser gave a presentation regarding the development of Egyptian tourism. He stated that Egypt has rich tourism resources and a mature product line and that China is one of the world’s most important sources of tourists. In recent years, in order to attract more Chinese tourists, the Egyptian government has streamlined visa application procedures. It has supported Egyptian airlines and travel agents and encouraged them to cooperate with their Chinese counterparts on services like tourist-chartered flights. The promotional event was held at Yiwu for its location, transportation, and market advantages, as well as its radial force. The organizers expect to create further opportunities for cooperation in fields like trade, tourism, and culture.

It is reported that the Belt and Road Forum of International Cooperation, which was closed just days before, reached fruitful achievements. Many high-level delegations from countries including Egypt attended the forum. Yiwu has always attached great importance to international cooperation in various fields and to communication with the countries along the Silk Road. This meeting will further promote the development of tourism and cultural exchanges between Yiwu and Egypt and will strengthen mutual understanding and help achieve common prosperity.
