Jinhua Foreign Trade Makes Progress

  According to statistics from Jinhua Customs, during the first five months of this year, Jinhua reached 60.27 billion RMB in total volume of import and export trade with countries along the Belt and Road, a yearly increase of 10.4%, and 45.2% of the total import and export value of the city.

  India, Iran, and Iraq were Jinhua’s top three exporters from January to May of this year. Volumes of export trade with them reached 6.44 bn RMB, 5.41 bn RMB, and 4.98 bn RMB respectively, a yearly increase of 12.2%, 45.9%, and 28.9%.

  Meanwhile, Vietnam, Thailand, and India are Jinhua’s top three importers. Volumes of import trade with them are 0.31 bn RMB, 0.14 bn RMB, and 0.12 bn RMB, a yearly increase of 32.6%, 120% and 20.8% respectively. Main export commodities include mechanical and electrical products, plastics, and clothing. Total export volumes for these products to the countries along the Belt and Road count for 24.44 bn RMB, 5.16 bn RMB, and 47.8 bn RMB, a yearly increase of 11.1%, 7.6%, and 5% respectively.

  Main export commodities include textiles, high-tech products, and plastics raw materials. Jinhua’s import volumes of these products from the countries along the Belt and Road are 0.3 bn RMB, 0.12 bn RMB, and 0.11 bn RMB, a yearly increase of 140%, 150%, and 120% respectively.
