|1000th CRE Sets Out|
On the afternoon of October 21, the Yiwu-Minsk China Railway Express (CRE), loaded with 84 TEUs of daily necessities, textiles, toys and other goods, departed from Yiwu West Railway Station. The train will go through the border at Manzhouli Port in Inner Mongolia and arrive in Minsk, Belarus in 15 days. This is the 1000th trip of CRE this year.
Attending the departure ceremony were Gao Yi, Deputy Secretary-General of the provincial government, Hu Weikang, Inspector of the Department of Commerce, as well as leaders from the Yiwu government Wang Jian and Ge Qiaodi, accompanied with the main officials of Hangzhou Customs, Zhejiang Seaport Group, Railway Department, the Jinhua government.
Since 2014, the CRE has opened 15 international train routes, connecting 49 countries and regions in Eurasia and providing global logistics and trade supply chains for tens of thousands of Chinese and foreign companies. As of October 21 this year, the CRE has altogether launched 1,000 trips and shipped 83,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 203%. The volume accounts for about 10% of the national total.
