Hosted by the Chinese Theater Association, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Jinhua Municipal People’s Government, the 2nd Li Yu Drama Festival officially opened on November 7. Dong Wei, vice chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and former vice minister of the Ministry of Culture, announced the opening of the festival. Xing Zhihong, deputy secretary of the Jinhua Municipal Committee and acting mayor, delivered an opening speech. Ye Jing, deputy director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Gu Liqun, deputy Party secretary of the Chinese Theatre Association, also delivered speeches.

Xing stated that Jinhua, known as “a city gathering literary and art celebrities,” is a national historical and cultural city. It is the birthplace of the drama master Li Yu and Wu Opera, one of the country’s great intangible cultural heritages. In recent years, Wu Opera has come upon the national stage, and the Wu Opera troupe has already performed in many countries to show the world the unique charm of Chinese opera.       第二届中国（金华）李渔戏剧汇开幕

11月7日，由中国戏剧家协会、浙江省文化和旅游厅、金华市人民政府共同主办的第二届中国（金华）李渔戏剧汇活动正式开幕。中国文联副主席、文化部原副部长董伟宣布活动启动，金华市委副书记、代市长邢志宏致开幕辞，浙江省文化和旅游厅副厅长叶菁，中国剧协分党组副书记、一级巡视员顾立群分别致辞。

邢志宏在致辞时说，金华是国家历史文化名城，素有“历史文化之邦、名人荟萃之地、文风鼎盛之城”的美誉，是戏剧大师李渔的诞生地，也是国家非物质文化遗产——婺剧的发祥地。近年来，婺剧多次登上国家级舞台，浙江婺剧团多次走出国门，向世界展示中国戏剧的独特魅力。
