According to data provided by the Lugang Group, the Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center has shipped more than 25 million cross-border parcels in 2020 as of December 15. The parcels shipped this year account for three times the business volume of last year, an explosive growth.

As Yiwu is included in the pilot free trade zone, Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center actively integrates into the Belt & Road Initiative, leverages its geographic advantages for development, and takes the opportunity of building a high-level pilot free trade zone to achieve an inter-connected development with the Yiwu-Zhoushan-Ningbo Railway Express and Yiwu-Xinjiang-Madrid Railway Express, lines of the China Railway Express (CRE). It is exploring the business of “Bonded + CRE,” vigorously supporting the development of cross-border e-commerce, and building an international trade channel with high efficiency, low cost, and excellent services in inland areas. Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center has now become an important distribution center for imported goods returning on the CRE. In the warehouses are various goods, including infant powder formula and rice noodles from Germany, Belgium, and Austria. (By Zhang Jiajia, edited by Kendra Fiddler)
