|African Diplomatic Corps visited Zhejiang Normal University|
On the morning of 16th September, a total of 23 African Diplomatic corps paid an honorable visit to our university. Representing their respective nations, comprising of countries from West to East, and from North to South of Africa, the guests were received by the Communist Party Secretary of our university, Prof. Jiang Guojun, in a very festive and welcoming way, accompanied by a vibrant African dance performance by some of our students.
The occasional visit was part of the event themed “Deeper bond in times of the Epidemic, Zhejiang and Africa join hands together” which plans to establish economical and educational ties between African nations and Zhejiang province, and aimed to further the long-standing friendship between China and Africa, and to strengthen the cooperation between ZJNU and African universities.

Afterwards, Prof. Liu gave a brief presentation about the African institute history and the role it had been playing in uniting China and Africa.
Despite the gloomy and rainy weather outside, inside the atmosphere was one of joy and excitement. The guests had a moment to socialize among themselves and with some of the professors and members of the African Institute, and to visit the institute’s African Museum, where they were each gifted with a book at the entrance by the Dean.
The event was successfully held, and was once again proof of the outstanding partnership between China and Africa, with each guest joining enthusiastically in the fraternization.
