|Migrant workers stay in Jinhua for Lunar New Year
As Lunar New Year, the most celebrated festival in China, is approaching, many migrant workers will return home to unite with their families. However, many migrant workers in Jinhua have decided to stay in the city during the festive season.
"We've been living in Jinhua for more than 10 years, and we also plan to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year in the city this year," said Wei Xiaofu, a native of Southwest China's Guizhou province who runs a restaurant in Jinhua.
Through his hard work over the years, Wei has managed to build a three-story building in his hometown.
There are many migrant workers in Jinhua just like Wei who bring their families to the city to start up a business. They used to worry about their children's education but this is no longer a problem now that they are living in Jinhua.
The Jinhua Development Zone Modern Experimental School is currently home to more than 800 students of 22 ethnic minorities from Guizhou, Sichuan, Hubei provinces and Chongqing.
Their parents have built new buildings in their hometowns or purchased houses in Jinhua after years of hard work in the city.
Hoping that their children will improve in their studies and earn more money is a common New Year's wish of many migrant workers.
With imported and domestic infections having been sporadic in many areas in China, Jinhua needs to strictly implement the following seven measures to prevent and control the pandemic.
第一：严格落实重点人员管控措施/Key personnel need to be strictly managed.
The management and control of inbound people should be enhanced by practicing Zhejiang's "14+7+7" health management measure for inbound people.
The management of key people coming to Jinhua from other Chinese cities should be strengthened to prevent them from bringing the virus to Jinhua.
第二：严格落实人员防集聚防流动措施/Gatherings and large people flow are not encouraged.
Mass greetings and get-togethers should not be held in principle. Scenic areas and entertainment places are required to cap visitor numbers at 75 percent of maximum capacity. The cap for places of religious activities is 60 percent.
Private gatherings or family reunions should be limited to 10 people or fewer. Those with flu and other symptoms are not encouraged to attend gatherings.
第三：严格落实防范物传人措施/Measures should be taken to prevent the transmission of virus from objects to people.
The "Zhejiang cold-chain system" should be properly used to ensure the closed-loop management of imported cold-chain food and strengthen the traceability management. The testing, disinfection, and management of other imports and express packages from medium and high-risk areas should be enhanced.
第四：严格落实重点场所防控措施/Key places need to be strictly managed.
Novel coronavirus infections in hospitals should be prevented. The inpatient wards in hospitals should be strictly managed, the health monitoring of attendants should be enhanced and the people flow in hospitals should be reduced.
The daily prevention and control of COVID-19 in public places should be reinforced. Railway and coach stations, large-scale shopping malls, supermarkets, and farmer's markets should measure the temperatures of visitors and check their health QR codes.
第五：严格落实疫苗接种各项措施/COVID-19 vaccinations should be rolled out for high-risk groups.
第六：严格落实群防群控措施/Awareness of COVID-19 prevention and control should be improved among Jinhua residents.
People entering Jinhua from COVID-19 affected areas should make themselves known to their residential communities and working places and abide by the prevention and control regulations.
第七：严格落实闭环管控措施/Closed-loop prevention and control of COVID-19 should be practiced by governmental departments.
