|Special Book Award of China for ZNU Grad|
The ceremony of the 14th Special Book Award of China kicked off in Beijing, commending 15 award winners from 15 countries who have made outstanding contributions to promoting China’s publishing overseas and furthering exchanges between Chinese and international cultures. Zhang Jianchun, deputy minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the awards ceremony and met with ambassadors and officials of various countries who work in China. Nama Didier Dieudonne, an alumnus of Zhejiang Normal University (ZNU) and young Cameroonian translator, was one of the winners.
Dieudonne obtained a master’s degree in Chinese International Education from the College of International Education at ZNU in 2013 and another master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting from the College of Foreign Languages at ZNU in 2015. He works as a Chinese teacher in the Confucius Institute at the University of Yaounde II, and as inspector of Chinese language teaching at the Ministry of Secondary Education of Cameroon. Dieudonne has committed himself to the study, research, and practice of Chinese language and culture. He has participated in the editing, review, and translation of many Chinese-French translation works, and made significant contributions to promoting language and culture exchanges between China and Cameroon. 近日，第十四届中华图书特殊贡献奖颁奖仪式在京举办，隆重表彰为推动中国出版“走出去”、促进中外文明交流互鉴作出突出贡献的15个国家15位获奖人。中宣部副部长张建春会见相关国家驻华大使和官员，出席颁奖仪式并颁奖。浙江师范大学校友，喀麦隆青年翻译家杜迪（Nama Didier Dieudonne）获此殊荣。
