Jinlan-Lanxi Innovation City is enclosed by the Jinhua River, Qujiang River, and China National Highway 330. It is located at the intersection of Lanjiang River, Jinhua River, and Qujiang River, covering a total planned land area of about 13.73 square kilometers. The area will take innovation and entrepreneurship as a pillar, featuring various lifestyles and rural scenery, and integrating production, shopping, education, and other functions.

Jinlan-Lanxi Innovation City has advanced the expansion of Lanxi-Hangzhou Yucai Middle School, Xingzhi Kindergarten, and Jiangnan Vocational and Technical School, and promoted the construction of a comprehensive archive as well as Vienna International Hotel.

In 2021, Jinlan-Lanxi Innovation City will take the strategic opportunity to integrate into the Yangtze River Delta region and build a metropolitan area. In addition, it will optimize urban planning, increase industry investment, promote industry-city integration, and build itself up as a quality city. It plans to invest over 10 billion RMB in different projects in 2021 in order to build an industrial agglomeration area for Jinhua and mid-west Zhejiang. 加快推进金兰同城化  兰溪高质量建设金兰创新城

金兰创新城位于兰江、金华江、衢江交汇处，为金华江、衢江、330国道外迁线所围合的区域。规划总用地面积约1373.21公顷。根据设计，该区块将以创新创业为核心引擎，以多元生活和田园风光为特色，形成融汇生产、购物、学习、休闲等功能于一体的城市空间。

目前，金兰创新城正在着力推进兰溪杭州育才中学、行知幼儿园、江南职业技术学校扩建、综合档案馆和维也纳酒店等项目。

今年，金兰创新城将紧抓融入长三角、共建都市区的战略机遇，优化城市规划，强化产业招商、推进产城融合，建设精品城市，计划全年引进项目总投资超100亿元，着力构建面向金华乃至整个浙中西部的产业集聚区。
