During the National Day holiday from October 1-7, hundreds of thousands of tourists from home and abroad spent a happy vacation at Shuanglong Cave, Jinhua.

On September 26, the Tourist Information Center of Shuanglong Cave was put into operation. In addition to ticket purchases and transportation transfer, tourists can also buy souvenirs and local specialties at the center. During the holiday, the center held a number of celebration activities. The excellent performances with local customs made the tourists stop and take pictures.

The daily passenger flow of the cave reached the tens of thousands during the holiday. The drivers pulled out all the stops and went back and forth on the winding road without interruption. Every day of the holiday they worked at least two hours more than usual days.

The cave had taken some measures before the holiday to prepare for this inundation: volunteers were arranged at sites which are easily jammed to ensure that every tourist could visit and enjoy each scenic spot in an orderly fashion.

During the National Day holiday, inside the scenic area there were cultural activities. On October 2, Zhao Feng—Chinese landscape painter, national first-class artist, and dean of the Jinhua Songyuan Academy of Painting—created an improv painting at Lutian Academy, exchanging ideas with calligraphy and painting enthusiasts and tourists.

On October 4, at the Xu Xiake path by Lunü Lake in the Shuanglong scenic area, a burst of beautiful sounds attracted the attention of many tourists. It was a children’s Wu opera group from the Art Troupe of Yiwu Forest Experimental Kindergarten, sharing the charm of traditional drama with the tourists.

Furthermore, Shuanglong Cave has also become a popular place for students to study and travel. On October 6, 35 Xinhua “student reporters” from Dongyuan Primary School and other schools visited Double Dragon Cave. These little reporters listened to the first lesson about scenic area service for volunteers, learning about the volunteering at Shuanglong Cave.
