According toJinhua Rail Transit Co. Ltd., on February 19, Jinhua’s first rail transit law, “Jinhua Urban Rail Transit Management Regulations,” has been officially included in the company’s 2021 legislative plan.

The Jinhua-Yiwu-Dongyang Urban Rail Transit Project, with a planned total length of 107.17 kilometers and 32 stations, was officially started in July 2017. It is currently the urban rail transit project with the longest length of one-off construction in China. The whole line plans to open in two phases: the Jinhua-Yiwu section will be opened for operation before the end of 2021, and the Yiwu-Dongyang section hopes to open in July 2022.

Drafted by the Municipal Transportation Bureau, the Jinhua Urban Rail Transit Management Regulations clarifies the rights, obligations, functions, and responsibilities of every party in the planning, construction, operation, and management of rail transit. The year 2021 is decisive for the opening of Jinhua-Yiwu-Dongyang Urban Rail Transit, and this first local law of Jinhua during the 14th Five-Year Plan period will assist the opening of the Jinhua-Yiwu Section at the end of the year, as well as the future development of mid-Zhejiang Rail Transit.
