The first order of the “Chinese Railway Express (CRE) + Rail-Ocean Transportation” multi-modal transit was successfully completed on March 18, marking the official opening of the new international rail-ocean transit channel of the Yiwu-Madrid CRE.

It is reported that the 39 containers of the first trade order were delivered at the Yiwu Railway Port by the return train of the Yiwu-Madrid CRE, and then they were transferred to the Yiwu Type-B Bonded Logistics Center for container exchange and customs transfer. Later, they were shipped to Ningbo Zhoushan Port by rail-ocean transportation and finally arrived in Southeast Asia by sea. Compared with the previous road transportation from Yiwu to Ningbo, the new rail-ocean route can save companies about 25% of freight charge.

The opening up of the new channel has provided more logistics transit solutions for international transit trade, greatly improved the efficiency of transit trade, strengthened the security of goods transit, and provided high-quality channels for enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
