On March 25, the “14th Five-Year Plan for Yiwu Logistics Development,” compiled by the Yiwu Market Development Committee, passed the review of the expert group. The 14th Five-Year Plan focuses on building Yiwu into the world’s small commodities center, giving full play to its role as a national logistics hub, accelerating the construction of a new development pattern, and expanding the development direction and path of Yiwu’s logistics industry during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. It has important guiding significance for the implementation of Yiwu’s integration into the Belt and Road and the integrated development strategy of the Yangtze Delta Region, as well as for the realization of the high-quality development of Yiwu’s logistics industry.

According to the Plan, Yiwu’s logistics industry will build a large logistics operation platform in accordance with the requirements of high-quality development, using its portand airport; optimize the spatial layout of urban facilities, unblock the logistics channel network, and accelerate the development of integration with the industry. All these will help to realize the innovation and transformation of the commerce and logistics industry, improve the logistics business environment, and build a smooth, safe, green, efficient, and professional modern logistics industry system in Yiwu. The pilot trade zone provides a solid foundation for the high-level and comprehensive construction of socialist modernization and the high-quality establishment of the world’s small commodities center.
