On April 11, 2021, the China International Electronic Commerce Expo (CIECE) and Digital Trade Expo (DTE) kicked off at Yiwu International Expo Center. “Through livestreaming, high-quality products can be promoted to the global market more quickly and conveniently. The events also gives us a platform for display and communication that helps open up new markets for more domestic products,” the livestreaming staff stated.

Representatives of companies from the United States, Japan, South Korea, and other countries, as well as 1,082 companies from 19 provinces and cities, participated this year. There were 2,103 international standard booths and an total exhibition area of 50,000 square meters, covering eight categorized exhibition areas.

The Expo has been held in Yiwu for seven consecutive years and has become an international comprehensive platform integrating various functions. It has attracted many high-end digital enterprises, translation companies for languages other than English, and various livestreaming service organizations, e-commerce enterprises, and supply chains. Companies participating in the exhibition have created an industry event that converges and improves the entire e-commerce industry chain, further innovates the e-commerce model, helps the transformation of the real economy, and boosts the revitalization of rural areas.

The Expo also worked to ameliorate the shortage of talents. The Yiwu Station (special e-commerce session) roving job fair for the joint recruitment of college graduates in large and medium-sized cities was held for the first time on April 11. (Translated by Jiang Yifan, edited by Kendra Fiddler)
