The Jinwu Bridge reconstruction project is a key project of Jinhua. It is an important hub connecting the downtown area south of the river and the Duohu Central Business District. The project includes the main bridge part of the Jinwu Bridge, road engineering, etc. The main bridge is a single-tower cable-stayed bridge with a length of 265 meters and a bridge deck width of 40 meters. It has six lanes in both directions. The main tower is a steel structure with a parabolic shape. At present, the foundation and substructure of the main bridge have been completed, and the construction progress of the superstructure is in progress. Just over half of the construction of the 100.5-meter concrete cast-in-place box girder has been completed. The remaining 48 meters are scheduled to be poured in mid-May, and there are also 19 sections of steel box girder remaining.

After the steel box girder is installed, high performance super toughness concrete (STC) will be used to pave the bridge deck. STC concrete is an improved and strengthened ultra-high-performance concrete with better mechanical properties and durability, and can extend the service life of the bridge deck. At present, the main tower of the bridge has begun to be manufactured. After finishing, the sections will be transported to the construction site, and the horizontal assembly will be carried out first, and then vertically turned to a prescribed angle to complete the main tower’s installation. The main tower is 82.121 meters high, and the vertical part weighs 2,530 tons, the highest weight of a main tower among this type of bridges in China.
