Hengdian has made a significant decision in the development of its film and television industry. It plans to invest 38 billion RMB to build the best film and television industry base in the world, injecting new momentum into its industrial development.

In 2021, Hengdian will promote 21 film and television projects: 6 industry-supporting projects, 5 investment attraction projects for supply chain development, 4 projects for the improvement of traditional bases, 3 digital innovation projects, 2 projects for solving industrial shortages, and 1 talent recruitment project. According to the plan, among the total investment of 38 bn RMB, 2.5 bn RMB will be invested this year. To date, 7 of the 21 projects have started construction, 7 are in the early approval stage, and 7 are still under negotiation.

Dongyang will develop the projects to support functional improvement and further facilitate industrial chain construction. In addition, Dongyang will develop artificial intelligence to maintain its leading position in industrial technology, increase industrial, economic, and social benefits with industrial integration, create more excellent film and television works to expand its influence, and build a good industrial system with high-quality services, so as to lay a solid foundation for the further implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan.
