At 17:47 on March 25, the first rail car customized by the Jinhua-Yiwu-Dongyang Intercity Railway (Jinyidong Line) departed from the commissioning workshop of the Highway Control Center of CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. Over the course of five days, it traveled more than 2,400 kilometers and arrived in Jinhua. With the joint efforts of the Jinhua Rail Transit Group, Jinhua’s railway transportation department, and this Changchun railway vehicles company, this first tramcar was successfully delivered to Jinhua.

The Jinyidong line measures 143.5 cm wide, conforming to the national railway standard gauge, which is also suitable for a tramcar. However, due to the incompatibility of the power systems, the tramcar was left without electricity, so it had to be hauled by railway locomotives. The first car of the line is expected to be put into trial operation in the Jinhua-Yiwu section before July 1 and open to the public at the end of the year.
