On April 2, the Zhejiang Government held the eighth promotion meeting of the CRE trains, with a goal to transform from a phase of quantity increase to a stage of high-quality development.

Last year, the CRE trains started the innovation and reform of the platforms in Jinhua and Yiwu. Compared to the 528 CRE trains in 2019, a total of 1499 CRE trains ran in 2020, a year-over-year increase of 165%, and Jinhua-Yiwu’s national ranking among CRE origins rose from 9th place in 2019 to 4th place in 2020. In the first quarter of this year, the CRE has run 513 trains and shipped a total of 42,874 TEUs, an increase of 373.5% year-on-year.

As the only city in Zhejiang that runs CRE trains, Jinhua is also in the leading position among the over 90 cities around the country that run CRE trains. According to the promotion meeting held by the Zhejiang Government, the CRE will accelerate the construction of the railway station infrastructure and its digital transformation, and promote the high-quality operation of international trains. The annual operation of CRE trains plans to run 1500 times at minimum, and aims to reach 1800 times if possible.
