On the afternoon of June 10, a symposium on the script of a new TV series Good Time was held at the Dongyang Administration Center. Local leaders, Chen Xiaohua, Huang Yangming, and Chen Yuanjing, participated in the discussion.

Good Times, which is just the tentative title, will be a TV series produced and distributed by the Dongyang-based Jiucai Film Culture & Media Co., Ltd. The main theme of the show is the woodcarving heritage expressed by three generations of artisans who show the evolution of local woodcarvers in different epochs. By presenting original works and superb carving techniques, the show will vividly reproduce the profoundness of the woodcarving culture in Dongyang and the passion and perseverance of the artisans themselves.

At the symposium, local leaders and woodcarving masters exchanged thorough discussions on the plot, characters, and details of the show. They put forward opinions and suggestions on supplementary topics, story structure, main events, character relationships, and role modeling. They agreed that a TV series would be a good way to enhance the image of the city. It is therefore hoped that the scripting team will do a good job in combining the suggestions of the participants, polish the script, and tell a good story of Dongyang’s woodcarving.
