|Yiwu-Germany CRE Launches|
At 11 a.m. on July 29, the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe Railway Express (YXERE) opened the new route Yiwu-Kaliningrad-Rostock. The train departed from Yiwu West Railway Station fully loaded with export goods, including auto parts, articles of daily use, textiles, pandemic prevention supplies, and more. The train exited China through the Khorgos Port and will arrive at the Kaliningrad Port, from which the goods will be transported to the Rostock Port by road-rail multimodal transport, and eventually the goods can be sent to the Hamburg and Duisburg by railway, and also can be distributed across Europe by shipping. It’s the 16th line that the Yiwu platform of the YXERE has launched, a year-on-year increase of 104.2%.
Compared with conventional transportation routes, the line of multimodal transport can save transportation time and improve efficiency by avoiding the crowdedness of the port of Malaszewicze (Poland) and Brest Port (Belarus) and distributing the goods to different directions to relieve the overcrowding of Duisburg. This way, the goods can be distributed rapidly across Northern Europe.
At the beginning of July in 2021, the YXERE and the China-Kyrgzstan-Uzbekistan Express (CKUE) international road-rail multimodal transport launched. This was the first time to use the combined transport bill of lading (CTBL) with property rights certified, that enters the records at the Ministry of Transport, which is a key step in advancing the “one-order system” of the CRE multimodal transport and the “certified property rights” for a land bill of lading in international trade. The pattern of rail-sea has been adopted in the new line, with the integration of the railway bill of lading and the ocean bill of lading, which is an attempt to use a “one-order system” and the “certified property rights” for a sea bill of lading in international trade.
As a practical project in the implementation of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in Zhejiang and a vital carrier for the Belt and Road Initiative and the open-door policy in Yiwu, the shipment of the YXERE trains has been in a leading position in the Yangtze River Delta area, ranking in the first echelon in China.
According to statistics, from January 1 to July 29, the YXERE trains of the Yiwu-Jinhua double platform ran a total of 1,217 trips and delivered 100,720 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 136.7%. Among these, the YXERE trains of the Yiwu platform ran a total of 812 trips and delivered 67,128 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 104.2%. Return trains ran 204 trips and delivered 16,886 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 2614.8%. So far, the YXERE trains have launched 16 lines to different destinations, including Spain (Madrid), Russia (Moscow), Belarus (Minsk), Czech Republic (Prague), Belgium (Liege), and Germany (Rostock).
