On September 8, the extension part of Renmin West Road, the connecting road between Jinhua and Lanxi, also called Jinlan Expressway, was put into operation. Since then, one can drive from Jinhua’s Jiangbei area to the old downtown of Lanxi within just half an hour. The Jinlan Expressway Project is part of the S313 (45 Provincial Highway) Reconstruction Project, one of the important sub-projects of the Comprehensive Transportation Corridor Project in Jinhua. The expressway has a total length of 13.59 kilometers, with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. To date, all four major traffic jams that restricted the transportation of Wucheng District – Shuangxi West Road, Jiefang West Road, Wujiang West Road, and Renmin West Road – have been resolved. All the east-west roads of Jinhua have been optimized as well. The new traffic network will integrate Wucheng District to the main urban area of Jinhua closely, accelerating the integrated development of the new urban area.
