To deepen the promotion trade cooperation between Wucheng District of Jinhua and Africa, the Municipal Supply and Marketing Cooperative and the 14th Bureau of China Railway signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement for the China-Africa Barter Trade Logistics Park on December 28. Investment for the project is projected to be 10.6 billion RMB. It will cover an area of about 20-35 hectares and settle in Jinyi New District.

Africa is Jinhua’s largest export market, and Jinhua has established trade relations with all African countries and regions. From January to November last year, Jinhua’s imports and exports to Africa totaled 84.77 billion RMB, a year-over-year increase of 16.3%, accounting for 5.7% of the country’s total imports and exports to Africa. Among them, exports were 78.16 billion RMB, a year-over-year increase of 8.9%; imports totaled 6.62 billion RMB, a year-over-year increase of nearly five times.

The two parties of the agreement will use the China-Tanzania logistics park as a carrier to give full play to the function and location advantages of the integration of industry and finance, focusing on the construction of the park, industry positioning, agricultural and sideline product industry chain development, procurement and sales mode, etc. to carry out all-around cooperation and exchanges and promote business cooperation with the whole of Africa. In addition, Jinhua will accelerate the integration of domestic and overseas market platforms and industrial cooperation, as well as promote the construction of “green channels” for African agricultural products exported to China.
