According to a spokesperson of the Yiwu Overseas Pandemic Special Working Group, since May 8 last year, Yiwu has set up a transshipment working group for inbound personnel to transport returnees who came from shipping ports in Shanghai, Jiaxing, and Hangzhou. The staff of the working group came from 14 different towns in Yiwu, and each town, police station, and health center sent one staff member to work at the quarantine hotel. Three buses are on call 24 hours a day, ready to pick up and transfer inbound personnel.

Due to the needs of pandemic prevention and control, these transfer workers are also subject to “14+7+7” quarantine. They are both anti-pandemic workers and quarantined personnel. Yu Xiaobo, a transfer worker who is currently being quarantined in the hotel, said in a video that he will work diligently on the transfer work, so as not to allow any overseas cases to be imported into Yiwu.
