By reviewing the exchanges and cooperation between YICC and MUDE in the past five years, Ma believed that the two parties have a solid foundation for cooperation. He pointed out that the establishment of the SYSRI will contribute to the cultivation of talents with both Chinese and Western characteristics, promote the sharing of educational resources and the exchange of experience, and enhance the communication between the people of the two countries. He hopes to build the SYSRI into an “Yiwu model” for international exchange and cooperation in education.

Álvaro expressed in his video speech his sincere thanks and congratulations to YICC, and thanked all parties for their efforts to promote the cooperation between YICC and MUDE. He said that the establishment of the SYSRI will effectively develop bilateral relations, deepen the cooperation of education, and promote exchanges and friendship between China and Spain.

Wang Wei said in his speech that since the opening of the Yiwu-Madrid China Railway Express trains in 2014, Yiwu and Spain have developed increasingly frequent and continuously deepened cooperation and exchanges in economy, trade, and culture. YICC has distinctive characteristics of international education and has made outstanding contributions to the international construction of Yiwu. The establishment of the SYSRI is an important measure to implement the Belt and Road Initiative and effectively integrate Yiwu’s opening-up resources and academic resources. It is also of great significance to promote the educational and cultural exchanges between Zhejiang and the countries along the Belt and Road.
