YXE Train & Sea-Rail Combined Transport

On January 1, the first Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe (YXE) Sino-Europe Block Train and Sea-Rail Combined Transport Special Train of 2022 departed from Yiwu Railway Port and headed for Minsk, Belarus, and Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, respectively. On the morning of the same day, the first return train of 2022 also started its journey from Madrid, Spain, with imported wines and daily necessities. It is expected to arrive at the Yiwu Railway Port in mid to late January.

The Yiwu Railway Port scheduled 10 trains, of which the YXE Sino-Europe Block Train dispatched 5 trains back and forth—3 trains for the outbound trip, and 2 trains for the return trip—and 5 trains were dispatched for sea-rail combined transport. In 2021, the Yiwu platform of the YXE Sino-Europe Block Train saw a total of 1,277 round-trip operations, sending 105,200 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 31%; of these, 294 were return trains, an increase of 254% year-on-year.
