On November 10, the Wuzhen Summit for the Digital Economy Industrial Cooperation Conference of the 2022 World Internet Conference was held in the Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center. 36 major digital economy cooperation projects were officially signed. The projects have a combined investment of 74.6 billion RMB.

The Digital Economy Industrial Cooperation Conference was hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Government and the China Electronics Technology Group. A total of 142 major projects were signed in the previous four sessions, with a total investment of more than 210 bn RMB. For the first time, the Digital Economy Industry Cooperation Conference was included as one of the three special activities of the Wuzhen Summit in Yiwu. Projects on digital economy cooperation have been implemented in nine district cities including Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Jiaxing, Shaoxing, Jinhua, Quzhou, Zhoushan, and Lishui.

The project signed by Jinhua, titled the “Liwei Integrated Circuit Board Production Project,” is in the Jindong District. With a total investment of one bn RMB, the project builds electronic controllers, drives R&D, and has a two-phase testing and production center based on Loongson CPU. With an investment of 580 million RMB, the first phase will see the purchase of manufacturing buildings that will cover 20,000 square meters, and its annual output value will reach about 600 mn RMB after production. The taxes from the project will reach nearly 28 mn RMB.

The second phase of investment will be 420 mn RMB, and the proposed land for the project will cover nearly 53,333 square meters. The annual output value will reach 800 mn RMB after production, and the tax revenue is projected to be 35 mn RMB. The Zhejiang Liwei Technology Company said that the Liwei integrated circuit board production project takes “science and technology to serve the future of mankind,” and the company centers on technological innovation. Under the guidance of a technical team including several doctors, the company focuses on the research and development of permanent brushless magnet motors, circuit drives, and smart home + Internet control systems. It actively responds to the needs of the national strategic development of “2025 intelligent manufacturing,” and commits itself to the industrial standardization of high-end intelligent electronic control and drive products. It strives to take the lead in the electrical controller and circuit driver industry.

The Department of Economy and Information Technology of Zhejiang Province selected ten outstanding cooperation projects, and many of the projects have established an ecological chain of digital economy. For example, the province’s first large-scale supercomputing center “Wuzhen Light” has served more than 3,600 users since it was put into operation, and the output value of Wuzhen Light Industrial Park is expected to reach one bn RMB by the end of this year. Located in Jinyi New District, the Zhejiang Loongson Intelligent Industrial Park has drawn more than 90 projects from companies including Loongson Technology, Tsinghua Tongfang, and DCITS. They have achieved a total revenue of 6.2 bn RMB as of the third quarter of this year. (By Hu Zhenan, translated by Zhang Jiajia, edited by Daniel Haws)
