On the afternoon of December 16, Zhejiang Guangsha Vocational and Technical University of Construction (ZGUC) and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) held a video conference to exchange opinions on the cooperation of running universities. Dr. Ahmad Hata bin Rasit, vice president of UNIMAS, introduced the general situation of the school and invited representatives of ZGUC to visit at any time. Founded in 1992, UNIMAS ranks eighth in Malaysia. As a key public university developed by the Ministry of Higher Education in Malaysia, it is committed to cultivating leaders, managers, scientists, and technical experts for the country. Qi Yaoyun, vice president of ZGUC, delivered a welcome speech, expressing the willingness to coordinate with UNIMAS in various fields of teaching. Qi introduced the distinctive majors of ZGUC, put forward some problems and suggestions on the joint operation of master’s and doctoral programs, and also invited representatives of UNIMAS to visit at an appropriate time. UNIMAS expressed a wish to arrange another video conference soon. Finally, Pan Zhenfeng, CEO of the business school of UNIMAS, and Li Jun, Dean of the International College (in preparation) of ZGUC, discussed next steps of cooperation between the two parties.
