According to the plan, this airport will achieve an annual passenger volume of 10 million in 2035, and the annual transportation capacity of goods will reach 150,000 tons. The passenger volume is expected to reach 22 million by 2050.

This airport will bring many benefits to Jinhua. Most importantly, Jinhua's renown will increase. When it comes to Zhejiang, many people think of Hangzhou, Ningbo, and even Yiwu as it is the largest wholesale market in the country. Ironically, Yiwu is a county-level city under the administration of Jinhua, but it is much more famous than Jinhua—which is an embarrassing situation for Jinhua. With the construction of this international airport, Jinhua will solve this problem.

This airport will also make people's lives in Jinhua more convenient. It will provide services for people frequently taking trips to and from the Jinyi Metropolitan District and the International Trade Center in Yiwu. This ability will expand the influence of Jinhua and Yiwu.
