At 10:30 a.m. on June 21, the HMM & JA special train of Yiwu-Ningbo Zhoushan Port Sea-Rail Combined Transport departed from the Yiwu Railway Station, which marks the first successful launch of the customized sea-rail train for JA Solar Technology Co., Ltd., which was jointly designed by Ningbo Zhoushan Port and HMM Shipping Co., Ltd.

Since the beginning of this year, due to the continuous impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the demand for rail transport has greatly increased. During its investigation, the International Landport Group learned that the solar cell manufacturer, JA Solar Technology Co., Ltd., has strong export demand, but faces difficulties in receiving containers, transporting, and booking shipping space. In this regard, Landport Group strengthened the multi-party cooperation with shipping companies and the railway department, and provided JA Solar with precise logistics solutions by providing customized sea-rail train services.

At the same time, in order to guarantee shipping space of the Yiwu-Ningbo Zhoushan Port sea-rail combined transport, Landport Group cooperated closely with the railway department to increase investment in circular cars, improving the transportation efficiency and logistics efficiency of the sea-rail combined transport. Up to now, Yiwu-Ningbo Zhoushan Port sea-rail combined transport has completed the shipment of over 36,000 TEUs this year, a year-on-year increase of 47.2%.

In the future, the Landport Group will further integrate resources, promote in-depth cooperation between railway stations, shipping ports, shipping companies and major customers, speed up the promotion of Yiwu-Ningbo Zhoushan Port sea-rail combined transport trains, and better serve the construction of the Belt and Road and the Yiwu-Ningbo-Zhoushan Channel.
