On June 15, the Zhejiang-South Africa Trade & Investment Development Exchange Conference, organized by the municipal government and the Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, was held in Jinhua in online and offline forms. It was aiming to explore the opportunities of cooperation between Zhejiang and South Africa in the field of economy and trade, continue to enhance cooperation of local governments from both sides and promote the implementation of China-Africa cooperation achievements.

During the topic sharing and discussion, Ambassador Gert, a senior diplomat of South Africa, pointed out that there is great development potential for South Africa and China-Africa cooperation. South Africa and Zhejiang have strong complementary industrial advantages and great potential for economic and trade cooperation. In addition, he also gave a brief introduction to the overall pharmaceutical industry in Africa, focused on many topics such as the medical and health industry in South Africa, the specific steps to promote economic cooperation between the two sides, the precautions for Chinese enterprises to explore the markets in Africa and South Africa. He hoped that the two sides would reach more cooperation in pharmaceutical area.
