Facing the challenges of global development, China follows the historical trend and puts forward global development initiatives. For construction of global development community, China takes development as priority, to achieve intensive, green and healthy global development, and to jointly create a development pattern of universal benefit and balance, coordination and inclusiveness, win-win cooperation and common prosperity.

Gert Grobler, senior researcher of the Institute of African Studies of Zhejiang Normal University and senior diplomat of South Africa, recently published an article entitled "New era of cooperation" on China Daily. The article pointed out, the Global Development Initiative offers a fresh perspective and further support for Africa's development and this has already led to a growing consensus between China and its African and international partners on expanding cooperation. Africa stands ready to join hands with China and all parties to advance the Global Development Initiative, which goes hand in hand with the Belt and Road Initiative, and inject new momentum into Africa-China cooperation as well as global development partnerships at the dawn of a new era of enhanced cooperation.
