Through screening and encouraging high-quality film works every year, FIRST restores the spirit of film and provides the industry with a multi-meaning sample of Chinese youth films. "Long Live the Soul" focuses on the e-commerce town named Beixiazhu in Yiwu City, and tells the story of short video entrepreneurs represented by Yuantou, who has been struggling in the e-commerce era.
This year, the film appeared on the FIRST Youth Film Exhibition as a feature for the first time. Yang Hao said that this is not only an affirmation of "the soul of Yiwu," but also a kind of support for the documentary creation. The teachers of ZJNU, classmates, and friends gave him full support and encouragement while he was making the film. It is a collective honor.
