On July 25, Jinhua hosted the 17th Zhejiang Games' first competition - the street dance competition, which marked the official opening of this four-yearly Games. In the women's A-group final of the first street dance competition, Chen Luofan, a 16-year-old member of Jinhua team, won the first gold medal. It is the first street dance gold medal (in competitive sports category) of all the Provincial Games nationwide. The street dance competition of the 17th Zhejiang Games is break dance (also known as breaking). It is included in the Provincial Games as a new competitive sports event for the first time in China. Breakdancing has been officially included in the competition of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. This gives this competition an unusual significance: it is a preview of breakdancing of Asian Games event and the vanguard of the Olympic Games event.
