|Yiwu Fair’s Turnover of Over 580M|
The three-day Zhejiang Yiwu Diversified Department Store Exhibition and Tableware Themed Exhibition closed on July 26. The organizer of the events announced the data of the first two days of the exhibition, showing that the transaction volume was 587 million RMB and the number of visitors reached 32,069.
This event recorded 1200 international standard booths, with an exhibition area of 25,000 square meters, attracting more than 800 factories and exhibiting units. The products exhibited included all kinds, covering stainless steel kitchen supplies, domestic ceramic products, cups and pots, bamboo and wood products, plastic products, cleaning supplies, shelves, small household appliances, and hardware, providing one-stop procurement for buyers, foreign trade companies, e-commerce stores, supermarkets, and suppliers from all over the country.
At the exhibition, Liu Jincao, an exhibitor from Langfang, Hebei Province, attracted many merchants with a folding chair. “This folding chair has appearance patents and utility model patents. Since its introduction in the market, we have shipped nearly 5000 pieces a day on average,” said Liu Jincao, for whom the main purpose of this exhibition was to find new customers.
The exhibition organizers had set up a comprehensive exhibition area to display the products showcased by more than 80 enterprises which were not able participate on site. At the same time, the organizer of the exhibition also arranged staff to participate on behalf of the exhibitors to help the purchasing parties connect with the cloud.
Affected by the continual changes of the pandemic, the exhibition industry in Yiwu almost stopped in the first half of this year. On June 25, Yiwu Home Expo took the lead in opening, becoming the first exhibition after the resumption of its Yiwu exhibition this year. Subsequently, many other exhibitions resumed operation as well.
As a major exhibition city, Yiwu holds hundreds of exhibitions every year. The continuous organization of such events will drive the development of catering, accommodation, transportation, logistics, and other related industries, help market development, and make a linking point for both internal and external double circulation.
