Online and Offline Trades at International Trade City

On September 24, in Districts 1 to 5 of the International Trade City, shop owners came to the smart turnstile to scan their faces for admittance. Resident foreign buyers and foreign shop owners held business friend cards and “green passes” and got in after scanning their health code, taking their temperature, and showing their 48-hour negative nucleic acid test.

Yiwu is the “world’s supermarket,” which brings together more than 2.1 million kinds of commodities and sells them to more than 230 regions around the world. Despite the changing situations of COVID-19, the orders of Chen Shaomei, a merchant in Yiwu International Trade City, are already lined up for October.  In previous years, it was usually a low season, but this year it becomes a peak season due to the effect of the Qatar World Cup.
