On February 12, Leapmotor Technology and Faurecia (China) signed a joint venture agreement. The two companies will build a production base for the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) supporting industry in the Jinhua Development Zone. The production capacity is expected to reach 350,000 vehicles and supporting facilities per year by 2025. This will further strengthen the NEV industry cluster.

The joint venture, Jinhua Leapmotor-Faurecia Auto Parts Co., Ltd., will help the NEV industry in running and collaborating effectively, promoting innovation and integrated development. The companies aim to take advantage of the opportunities in the smart cockpit field.

Leapmotor is a leading vehicle production unit and delivered 111,200 vehicles last year, a 154% increase from the previous year. This makes it the first 10-billion-dollar enterprise in the main part of Jinhua city. The output value of the entire industry chain has exceeded 20 billion RMB.
