From April 21 to 23, a China NGO Network for International Exchanges (CNIE) delegation of 16 people from seven countries, including Cuba and Switzerland, visited Yiwu. Wang Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Yiwu Municipal Party Committee and deputy mayor of Yiwu, and Zhu Gaomin, deputy director of the Yiwu Foreign Affairs Office, accompanied the visit. Wang welcomed the delegation and introduced Yiwu’s economic and social development. He said that Yiwu has a well-developed foundation for production, e-commerce, and logistics. Yiwu also proposes to deepen exchanges and cooperation between Yiwu and other countries in various fields such as trade promotion, exhibitions, and entrepreneurship training programs for global youth. Taking the night bazaars as an example, Wang introduced the vigor and vitality of Yiwu’s economy. He emphasized that the Yiwu Government has been committed to creating an excellent business environment, providing more startup and working opportunities for both Chinese and foreign residents, and improving their happiness levels. He said that Yiwu will continue to make full use of its advantages in trade, finance, and logistics, strengthen international cooperation, and create a shared future with diversity. The delegation commented that Yiwu is a prosperous and open business hub. They hope both parties will maintain close exchanges in the future, and strengthen economic, trade, and cultural cooperation to achieve mutual benefit.
