On May 23, Yiwu Mayor Ye Bangrui met with a delegation led by the governor of Haenam County in South Korea. They talked about promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two regions. Deputy Mayor Luo Zupan also attended the meeting.

Ye Bangrui welcomed the Haenam delegation and briefly introduced Yiwu’s current market situation. In November 2022, Yiwu signed a memorandum with Haenam County, aiming to promote friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between the two regions. Mayor Ye hoped that this visit will serve as a new starting point to further enhance mutual understanding and prioritize cooperation in trade and culture.

The Haenam governor expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received in Yiwu. He hopes for more frequent and close exchanges between the two regions in the future and to promote mutual prosperity and development.

During their stay in Yiwu, the delegation visited the Urban Planning Hall, International Trade City, Yiwu Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Gangyao Village, and the Huahong Art Depot. They also participated in the opening ceremony of the China-South Korea assembling center, in which the China-South Korea special line started operating.
