Big trucks full of goods shuttle back and forth, waiting to be loaded and unloaded, while enormous gantry cranes load containers onto international freight trains. Finally, an international freight train loaded with Made in Zhejiang goods departed for Eurasian countries. Since the beginning of this year, the Jindong Platform of the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe (YXE) China Railway Express (CRE) has vigorously planned model innovation, strengthened its services, promoted the upgrading of railway channels, and fully accelerated the growth of the platform. Data show that from January to June 2023, the Jindong platform has operated a total of 445 CRE trains and transported 35,912 TEUs, registering a year-on-year increase of 18.2% and achieving both operational quality and volume improvements. The improvement of the quality and efficiency of the YXE CRE is inseparable from reform and innovation. This year, Jindong Platform opened its first sea-rail joint transit train to further speed up customs clearance. The YXE CRE has been deeply involved in business and continues to write a new chapter in serving enterprises and helping common prosperity. At the end of June, the China-Laos international freight train service was upgraded and the first China-Laos international freight train departed, enabling multiple corporate customers to share one container, which provides convenience for scattered small customers. In the first half of 2023, the freight volume of China-Laos international freight trains increased by 114% year-on-year, and the momentum of development is rapid. It has become crucial for small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the Southeast Asian market. In order to promote the high-quality development of trains and promote the deep integration of the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence, and the real economy, the Jindong Platform launched a pilot project of “intelligent intermodal ICTMP” data elements to carry out practical exploration of digital innovation applications. Through this system platform, not only can the cost of goods circulation be reduced, but also the efficiency of logistics can be greatly improved, and greater development momentum can be accumulated. At the same time, the platform and the Jinhua Branch of China Construction Bank launched a digital innovative financing product—“Freight Loan”—to provide financial services for foreign trade companies. So far, 15 million RMB of loans have been successfully issued using data elements. (By Wang Tesang, English text edited by Kendra Fiddler)
