From July 8-9, Ou Boqian, secretary-general of the Trilateral Cooperation Project (TCS), led a delegation to visit Yiwu. Wang Jian, secretary of the Yiwu Party Committee, and Luo Zupan, Yiwu deputy mayor, met the delegation. Wu Dan, director of the Yiwu Foreign Affairs Office, accompanied the reception.

In the International Trade City, the TCS delegation was enlightened about the strategic role of the market in Yiwu, and learned in detail about the import and export of goods between Yiwu and Japan, and Yiwu and South Korea. At the Yiwu Railway Port, witnessing the departure station of the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe trains, they learned about how Yiwu is accelerating the establishment of the Sixth Port Area at a high level. At the Lugang International E-Commerce Mall, they came to fully understand the advantages of Yiwu’s e-commerce development and the construction of Yiwu’s cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test area, and expressed the need to strengthen cooperation and exchanges between the various sides in the field of cross-border e-commerce.

The TCS delegation also visited Fotang Ancient Town, Shuanglin Temple, and Chen Wangdao’s former residence.

Formally established in Seoul in September 2011, TCS is an intergovernmental international organization approved by the governments of China, Japan, and South Korea. It aims to provide support for the operation and management of the three-country consultation mechanism, facilitate the discussion and implementation of cooperation projects, and promote lasting peace among the three countries.
