The Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway has a total length of 260 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 km/h. The entire line consists of nine stations including Tonglu East, Pujiang, and Yiwu. The Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway construction is divided into two phases. The first phase for investment and construction of Yiwu-Wenzhou was led by the private enterprise Baisheng United Hangzhou Wenzhou Co. The second phase of Hangzhou-Yiwu was led by the state-owned enterprise Zhejiang Transportation Group for investment and construction. To comprehensively improve the construction efficiency and the safety management level, track laying units for ballasted track and new type track laying units for Ballastless track have been put into use in the track laying operation of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway. The track laying construction task is expected to be completed in December of this year. They will then move on to the static acceptance and joint debugging and testing stages. The Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway is an important component of the Yangtze River Delta high-speed railway network. It is the fastest channel in Zhejiang to link Hangzhou, Jinhua, Yiwu, and Wenzhou within one hour. After the completion and operation of this railway, the rich tourism resources of Hangzhou, Jinhua, Taizhou, and Wenzhou will be fully connected and leveraged. Along the line, Xianju, Pan’an, Dongyang, Pujiang and other places will officially enter the era of high-speed rail, which is of great significance for improving the regional road network layout and promoting the coordinated development of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.
