On August 1, on the construction site of Huangjin Yuan, a new apartment complex for the residents of an urban village in Wucheng District with 29 high-rise buildings, rose from the ground. Once completed—by the end of 2023—this apartment complex will welcome 2,400 households.

In recent years, Wucheng District has promoted city renovation projects. To date, it has completed renovation projects in the urban villages of Shangfuqiao, Hongyuan, Baoyang, Xijiao, Huangjinyuan, Huancheng, and Chetou, covering 1.6 million square meters. At the same time, Wucheng is working on constructing new apartment complexes. There are currently five apartment complexes under construction in Wucheng, with a total construction area of 1.2 million sq. m.
