The Asia-Pacific Cultural and Urban Development Capacity Enhancement Seminar was held in Jeju, South Korea from July 31 to August 4. The city of Yiwu was invited to participate in the seminar and made a special promotional event titled “Wonderful World in Yiwu.”

This meeting was co-hosted by the Global Network of Cities, Local and Regional Governments (UCGL), the Jeju Prefecture Government of South Korea, and the Jeju Research and Training Center of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. The main theme of the event was “Culture as a Powerful Fuel for Building a Sustainable City.” At the meeting, Yiwu City introduced the basic situation of Yiwu and the characteristics of urban culture and tourism by showing urban publicity films. It showed the participants Yiwu’s long history and reputation as a city of culture and “the small commodities capital of the world.” The presentation conveyed the unique charm of Yiwu’s spirit and taste, Wu Opera, martial arts, and other local cultural features.

义乌市应邀参会并作专题推介

7月31日至8月4日，“亚太地区文化和城市发展能力提升研讨会”在韩国济州道举行，义乌市应邀参会，并作“奇妙世界 尽在义乌”专题推介。

据悉，本次会议由世界城地组织、韩国济州道政府和联合国训研所济州研修中心共同主办，围绕“文化作为建设可持续城市的强大燃料”主题开展交流讨论。会上，义乌市通过播放城市宣传片等形式，介绍义乌基本情况、城市文旅特色，向与会代表展示了一个历史悠久，有“文化之乡”“世界小商品之都”美誉的义乌，传递了“勤耕好学、刚正勇为、诚信包容”的义乌精神和道情、婺剧、武术等特色文化赋予城市的独特韵味。

会上，义乌市还着重推介了第18届中国义乌文化和旅游产品交易博览会，突出办展专业化，体现市场化，坚持品牌化特色，宣传推介了义乌文旅展会等平台资源，并邀请与会代表参加2023年11月在义乌举行的世界城地组织亚太区第九届会员大会。

互动环节，义乌市还将义乌先贤诗歌以书法、篆刻等形式，融合在宋式团扇上，制作成“义乌礼物”赠予与会代表，让远在韩国的会场吹进了一阵“中国风”。（义乌商报  全媒体记者 卢丽珍）
