On August 15, four carpenters repaired columns, beams, purlins, boards, rafters, and other structures within an ancestral hall of Houda Village in Tangxi Town. Most of the ancient buildings in Tangxi were built in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties and have been eroded by wind and rain for hundreds of years. With people’s increasing awareness of protecting historical sites, the ancient architectural complexes are being restored by local craftsmen.
