The 2023 Yiwu Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao Youth Business Training Base has recently been established. Jia Yiming, member of the Standing Committee of the Yiwu Party Committee and director of the United Front Work Department, attended the opening ceremony.

The initial plan of the Base will be carried out in a mode designed around the concept “Seven days and three months,” consisting of two phases: classroom training and onsite training. The 7-day classroom training will be performed at Yiwu Industrial and Commercial Vocational and Technical College to conduct a live theoretical knowledge class on e-commerce. Afterwards, the onsite training lasts for three months. The trainees will form a training team and settle into the training base to participate in practical training.

The establishment of the Base has set up a new platform for Yiwu City’s exchanges with Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, and will further promote the implementation of the cooperation results of the 2023 Hong Kong and Macao-Zhejiang Week and of the 2023 Zhejiang-Taiwan Cooperation Week. There are plans to comprehensively promote the “Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao Youth Business Training” Entrepreneurship and Employment Support Program. At the same time, the municipality will continue to give full play to local business and cultural advantages, further optimize and integrate local resources, improve the quality and level of the exchange internship base, and encourage and support the cooperation between Yiwu and Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao to achieve even higher levels of exchanges and communication.
