On September 5, the Jinhua European and American Alumni Association was established. On the occasion of its first general meeting, Zhu Chonglie, secretary of the Jinhua Municipal Party Committee, provided guidance. Wang Liyue, deputy head of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and Wang Zhiqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and head of the United Front Work Department, attended the event and delivered speeches.

Mr. Zhu pointed out that the establishment of the Jinhua European and American Alumni Association is a milestone in the political life of the city’s overseas-educated citizens and a joyous event for the city’s United Front. Jinhua is fully dedicated to implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, advancing the Double Eight Strategy, and taking on a guiding role to shape itself as an international hub city and a thriving modern urban area. The commitment to attracting talent and serving the nation and its people has deepened.

Mr. Zhu emphasized that overseas-educated people should harbor a deep passion for learning and an unwavering commitment to serving their country. They should always keep the city’s major plans in mind and actively engage in cutting-edge scientific research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and various areas of social service. This way, they can contribute more to the city’s progress in the new era. All local authorities and departments should strongly support the development of returning overseas students in Jinhua, creating a welcoming environment for talent from around the world and collectively building the prestigious brand of the European and American Alumni Association.

During the meeting, the Jinhua European and American Alumni Association elected its first council and signed industrial cooperation agreements.
