On September 5, the Jinhua European and American Alumni Association was established. On the occasion of its first general meeting, Zhu Chonglie, secretary of the Jinhua Municipal Party Committee, provided guidance. Wang Liyue, deputy head of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and Wang Zhiqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and head of the United Front Work Department, attended the event and delivered speeches.

Mr. Zhu pointed out that the establishment of the Jinhua European and American Alumni Association is a milestone in the political life of the city’s overseas-educated citizens and a joyous event for the city’s United Front. Jinhua is fully dedicated to implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, advancing the Double Eight Strategy, and taking on a guiding role to shape itself as an international hub city and a thriving modern urban area. The commitment to attracting talent and serving the nation and its people has deepened.

Mr. Zhu emphasized that overseas-educated people should harbor a deep passion for learning and an unwavering commitment to serving their country. They should always keep the city’s major plans in mind and actively engage in cutting-edge scientific research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and various areas of social service. This way, they can contribute more to the city’s progress in the new era. All local authorities and departments should strongly support the development of returning overseas students in Jinhua, creating a welcoming environment for talent from around the world and collectively building the prestigious brand of the European and American Alumni Association.

During the meeting, the Jinhua European and American Alumni Association elected its first council and signed industrial cooperation agreements. Following this, a roundtable discussion was held, where scientists and entrepreneur representatives discussed and interacted on the topic of Jinhua’s industrial development. (By Wu Xiao)

9月5日，金华市欧美同学会举行成立大会。市委书记朱重烈作出批示，省委统战部副部长王利月，市委常委、统战部部长王志强出席并讲话。

朱重烈在批示中指出，成立金华市欧美同学会是我市留学人员政治生活中的一件大事，也是我市统一战线的一件喜事。当前，金华正全面学习贯彻习近平总书记重要指示精神，坚定不移深入实施“八八战略”，以示范引领姿态打造国际枢纽城、奋进现代都市区，求贤若渴、筑巢引凤的情意更加真切，报效祖国、服务人民的舞台更加宽广。

朱重烈强调，广大留学人员要胸怀“负笈求学志、拳拳报国心”，始终心系“市之大计”，积极投身科技攻关最前沿、创新创业第一线、社会服务各领域，为续写新时代荣光贡献更大力量。各地各部门要大力支持留学人员返金来金发展，营造聚天下英才而用之的良好氛围，共同打响欧美同学会“金字招牌”。

会议选举产生市欧美同学会一届理事会，进行产业合作签约。随后举行的“之江同心·海聚领航”欧美同学会助力产业发展圆桌会上，与会科学家、企业家代表围绕金华产业发展作主旨发言和互动交流。（记者 吴晓）
