Yongkang Hardware City Goes Global

On September 6, the opening ceremony of China’s Arab States Expo 2017 took place in Yinchuan, Ningxia. At the exhibition, Yongkang Northwest Hardware Outlet Center represented Zhejiang enterprises. It was invited to the Expo and had a booth of 42 m2 in a main hall. This is the first time for Yongkang Hardware to appear at an exhibition of this kind. Such an event is good for establishing cooperation between the Belt and Road countries and helping Yongkang Hardware enter the international market.

Xia Ting, chairman of China Science and Technology Hardware City Group, encouraged more than 50 major businesses of the Hardware City to visit the exhibition and see the Yongkang Northwest Hardware direct sales center.

The China-Arab States Expo has already held five successful exhibitions. During the five-year period, the exhibition has invited 29 government officials of China and foreign countries; 336 Chinese and foreign ministers; 140 foreign ambassadors to China; more than 80 national, regional, and international institutions; 139 large business associations; and more than 6500 representatives of large and medium-sized enterprises and financial institutions. It has also attracted more than 47,000 buyers. The Expo has played an important role in promoting Sino-Arab economic and trade cooperation. Yongkang Northwest Hardware Outlet Center joined the Expo for the first time, connecting with the innovative business model that combines physical stores and e-commerce.

During the Expo, the Yongkang Hardware booth was on the preferential list of the visitors who were constantly coming in order to see its new selection. Among the displayed products, the most popular were the cups, pots, tea sets, and other articles for daily use. Exquisite textures, simple shapes, stylish designs, and detailed aesthetic features attracted the attention of domestic and foreign distributors of all ages. Many dealers came forward seeking further information about the products and investment policies. Many of them are regional market merchants and representatives from gift companies, overseas shopping malls, and domestic department stores.

In 2015, the China Science and Technology Hardware City Group in Yinchuan built the “Yongkang Northwest Hardware Direct Sales Center” brand outlet store, which, together with “Shang Hardware” e-commerce, formed a new development platform. For Yongkang Hardware, it was a new platform that promoted its internationalization and opened up a new channel of sales, with beneficial results.

On August 18 of this year, a grand opening was held for the Yinchuan outlet, which is one of the major constituents of Yongkang Northwest Hardware Outlet Center. This is the third such brand outlet in China, after Zhengzhou (Henan Province) and Enshi (Hubei Province).

Xia Ting said that Hardware City Entity Market is climbing up the development stairs through changing management strategies and improving service. He also said that they should actively participate in the large-scale exhibition platforms outside the province, encourage unique enterprises to go global, support medium- and small-sized enterprises in developing domestic and international markets, and put more effort into upgrading the enterprise’s service competitiveness. He believes domestic and foreign hardware markets should unite their work to create a hardware e-commerce platform they can use together with mutual benefits.
