Kashgar Builds Int’l Trade Center

On November 11, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Central and Western Asia International Trade Center was held in Kashgar, Xinjiang, China.

Rao Guoping, secretary of the Party Committee and president of the Xinjiang Branch of the China Development Bank; Wang Jianguo, deputy secretary general of the Jinhua Government, secretary of the Party Committee of Xinjiang Headquarters, and deputy secretary of Wensu County; Kong Jiande, standing committee member of the Kashgar Municipal Party Committee and executive deputy mayor; Xu Hongbin, deputy mayor of Kashgar; Ren Xinlin, deputy mayor of Kashgar; Zhou Xiaoguang, chairman of Neoglory Prosperity Inc.; and Yu Yunxin, president of Neoglory Prosperity Inc., attended the ceremony.

Kashgar is the earliest international commercial city in Western China. It is considered an important city along the Central and Western Asia Economic Corridor in the Belt and Road Initiative by the Central Government. In 2016, Kashgar Circle was listed as one of the 20 economic circles in China, and was part of the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan. (By Feng Junjiang, translated by Li Ziyi, edited by Kendra Fiddler)
