Jinhua-Ningbo Railway Ready
Post Time: 13/12/2017

A new Jinhua-Ningbo Railway construction design was jointly authorized by China Railway Corporation and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province. The construction length of the Yiwu section of this railway is 26.5 kilometers, and at this point, Yiwu has initialed the land expropriation agreement for the Yiwu Section of the Jinhua-Ningbo Railway.

According to the document of authorization, this new railway will be built with a length of 188.303 km on the down-line and 185.612 km on the up-line. Along the way, there will be a total of 9 stations: Yunlong, Fenghua, Xikou, Xinchang, Shengzhou, Nanshan Lake, Hulu, Dongyang and Suxi. Further, the railway will take the form of a “Passenger and Freight Co-Line,” which means both passenger trains and freight trains can run on this railway.

When the railway is built, with the speed of 200 kilometers per hour, it will only take a little more than 70 minutes from Ningbo to Yiwu, and the freight mileage from Ningbo Port to Yiwu will be reduced by 78 kilometers. At the same time, the construction of the Jinhua-Ningbo Railway will also enable Yiwu to embrace more significant strategic opportunities in the docking of the “Belt and Road” and the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
